10 Lady Lawson Street, Edinburgh EH3 9DS
We have now begun to settle into our very large self-contained new premises in Lady Lawson Street. The old timber merchants is a perfect venue to house everything that te POOKa currently does. We no longer have separate venues for storage, rehearsals and offices, it now all happens under one roof! The ground floor room and the second floor room can be hired by any group or individual. So finally a wonderful new space dedicated to circus skills and other arts in Edinburgh is born.
We are making the refurbishment of the building as ecological as possible. We are minimising the energy we use and the waste we produce and we have started a wee organic urban garden out in the back yard.
Significant progress has been made but there is still a lot of work to be done, so any help or a few hundred thousand pounds would be great!
We would like to thank ECOS Organic Paints for their kind support supplying us with odourless and solvent free paint.
If you would like to make a donation, give us a hand, book our space or want to find out more about workshops/classes then contact info AT tepooka DOT org or call 0131 228 4567. (Please replace the AT with an @ ... you get the idea).
